Description
Overview:
This qualification reflects the role of an education support worker who assists teachers and supports student learning in a range of classroom settings. Work requires the use of discretion and judgment within the boundaries of established policies and procedures, and includes general administrative and operational tasks to support students. To achieve this qualification, students must have completed a total of at least 100 hours of work in a classroom environment catering to primary or secondary school students, within at least one school in Australia.
Entry Requirements:
There are no formal prerequisites for enrolling in the CHC30221 Certificate III in School Based Education Support. However, students are expected to have well-developed written and verbal communication skills, basic numeracy skills, and basic computer skills. Some training providers may require students to undertake a Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) assessment to determine their readiness for the course.
